Lolo Ferrari, born Eve Valois, was famous – or infamous – as having undergone more plastic surgery than any other porn star. She had her face lifted, her eyes reshaped, her lips thickened and, most famously, a series of silicone injections ballooned her breasts out to 71 inches, and a record-setting (according to the Guinness Book of World Records) weight of 26 pounds. She was on record as saying that the main reason she had so much transforming surgery was that her mother had continually told her, from childhood, that she was ugly, repulsive and stupid and that no man would ever want her. She proved her mother wrong, to a degree, as she became one of the hottest porn stars in Europe, renowned for her willingness to do just about anything with just about anybody (or just about any number of bodies). In addition to her fame as a porn star in Europe, she also made numerous appearances in nightclubs and on late-night TV and even released a single called “Air Bag Generation”. While she hadn’t had much exposure in the US, plans were underway for her entry into that market when she was found dead on March 5, 2000, by her husband in their French Riviera home. It was known that she suffered from chronic depression, and her husband stated that not long before her death she had visited a funeral home inquiring about arrangements.
An autopsy showed that she had died of an overdose of prescribed anti-depressant drugs, but further investigation by police scientists revealed that she died of suffocation. Shortly afterwards her husband was arrested on charges of failing to prevent her death.
Holds the record of the Heaviest Breasts in the Guinness Book of World Records 1999. Each of her breasts weight 6 pounds, 2 ounces.
She was found dead in her house in France by her husband, on March the 5th, 2000.
8 June 2000: Husband, Eric Vigne arrested on suspicion of failing to prevent her death
French sources give her measurements at 51-23½-35½”, height at 5′ 5″, and weight at 123 lbs (or 111 lbs before surgery).
According to Guinness World Records 2003 she had a bust measurement of 71″ when she died, and her breasts weighed 26 lbs. Previously the figure had been given at 46″, 51″, etc.
Her husband, Eric Vigne, blames her death on her chronic depression, use of anti-depressant drugs and history of suicide centered talks with friends. According to statements made by Eric, she had been planning her own funeral, and she had just visited an undertaker prior to her death. She picked out a white coffin and asked to be buried with her favorite fuzzy teddy bear.
Measurements: Blessed with a natural 37C bust, she later went to 39D, at age 20, and through progressive surgeries to a reported 54G near the time of her death. (Source: Celebrity Sleuth magazine)
Lolo Ferrari, real name Eve Valois, was born to a well to do family in La Baule, France. Her father left the family when Lolo was young and her mother never got over it. She didn’t wallow in pity though but turned her hate on her daughter. Lolo had said in many interviews that her mother constantly called her names and whipped her – saying she was worthless and no man would ever love her. Lolo took her mothers ravings too heart and group up wanting to be someone else.
In 1987, Lolo who had already done a few modelling jobs met her future husband Eric Vigne. Within a year they were married and he began to mold the all too willing teen into a money making side show. She changed her name to Lolo (which is french slang for tits) Ferrari (the car company sued and lost) and began having plastic surgery which fed her desire to be someone else and her husbands desire to make money off of her. First was her lips, then nose and eyes then her breasts. Her husband designed the massive wonders and it took a few years to find a doctor willing to do the surgery. These aren’t ‘silly string’ implants that slowly grow but silicone that stretch the skin. Lolo got hers as big as you possibly can before it starts ripping the skin. Her tits weighed around 6 pounds each and were hard as rocks.
Lolo’s instability showed itself in other ways – her obsessive use of jewellry (she had panic attacks without it) and her need to cover her skin fully with makeup constantly. She constantly took pills and drank alcohol as well – basically she was an accident waiting to happen and the public loved her being the butt of all their jokes (much like they did with Anna Nicole Smith.
Lolo appeared on a European show called Eurotrash for awhile and released a couple of songs as well. On March 5 2000 she was found dead in her house by her husband. At first it was believed she had overdosed but later it was found she was suffocated. Theories began circulating about whether her husband killed her or she was suffocated by her own boobs. Her husband was arrested for not assisting his wife and held for a year before being released. The trial to find out exactly how Lolo died still hasn’t happened.
The size of her breasts prevented her from sleeping on her stomach or on her back and the lack of proper rest added to her health problems. However, her mental state was the most serious problem that was never treated and according to her husband, she suffered from chronic depression; as well, many feel that she undoubtedly suffered from body dysmorphic disorder.
Ferrari wore stiletto-heeled shoes, excessive gold jewelry, including several necklaces and pendants on her neck, bangles and watches all over her arms, and a ring or two on every finger. She painted her long fingernails pink; it is unknown if they were natural or artificial. She also wore thick, heavy makeup on her skin to cover up her skin colour. She would have panic attacks if she did not use makeup or wear jewelry, feeling that she was back with her old face and old body. Apparently even after her final breast implants, she wanted to have them done even bigger, but the skin was stretched and already desensitized.
Adopting the stage name “Lolo”, from a French slang word for breasts, along with “Ferrari” as a last name, she made a few pornographic films. Use of the Ferrari name (which she justified since it was her maternal grandfather’s name) led to lengthy trademark infringement court battles with the Italian Ferrari automobile company when she tried to market a line of underwear called Ferrari Underwear and a Lolo Ferrari doll. In 1995, she caused a sensation at the Cannes Film Festival with the presentation of the movie Camping Cosmos by Jan Bucquoy during a boxmatch and she used the publicity surrounding her enormous breasts to obtain a regular role on the British Channel 4 television show Eurotrash. The media hype led to appearances on other European shows and work in cabaret shows doing a song and striptease act. Hoping to launch a pop music career, she recorded two singles, titled “Airbag Generation” and “Set Me Free”, as well as two more non-singles, a Euro disco cabaret song known as “Dance Dance Dance” and a cover of Thelma Houston’s Euro disco hit, “Don’t Leave Me This Way”. However, for the woman who went to such lengths to obtain the spotlight, she ended up being little more than a sideshow freak, the constant butt of jokes and the object of a cult-like following.
